Brough is very involved in the Utah film community and has produced the made-in-Utah production, 'In Emma's Footsteps'. We recently made it over to the LDS Hospital to visit Director Brian Brough's film set for ' Prescription for Love'. Silver Peak Productions is based out of Orem, Utah and has produced various made-in-Utah feature films. The Simulation Center is located in the Avenues near Memory Grove Park and has proved to be a great location to film medical/hospital scenes. LDS MEDICAL SIMULATION CENTER The LDS Medical Simulation Center was used as one of the filming locations of 'Prescription for Love'.
Most recently, Christina worked at University of Utah Health in program management, but previously she was at Sundance Institute for 10 years in Corporate Development. In addition to the funding, the recipients will receive a one-year membership at the Utah Film Center’s Artist Foundry, access to the 2019 Sundance Film Festival, as well as access to Sundance Institute’s Co//ab Artist Network. Up to five filmmakers will qualify for the Next Level Program in 2019, with each grantee awarded $2,000 to support a project. We strongly believe in developing careers for our Utah filmmakers here at home.” This is our way of giving a small boost to emerging filmmakers to get them to the next step in their career, which could be anything from startup costs to finishing funds for their project. The Park City Film Series’ 13th Annual Filmmakers Showcase allowed local filmmakers the opportunity to screen films highlighting some unique stories from our local film community.
In that vein, we were excited to sponsor several events in November that gave new voices a chance to be heard. As we continue to grow as an industry, it is vital that we find new ways to bring new people into our work, in either above or below the line roles.
