The Archery talent will have your Hunter counter enemy ranged attacks with their Cone of Fire line attack. A Wolf Transformation would serve the same purpose here, too.įire Hunter: This isn't the most powerful build in the world, but it's super fun. Just don't wade into a situation where you're going to take a couple of sizeable hits and you should be fine (but you can totally stick them out front to block corridors and doorways if low HP enemies are just going to run up and die against their auto-damage). The only drawback to this character is a distinct lack of armor, so use them as a squishy glass cannon, but don't forget that you're still a Mystic and have plenty of ranged options at your disposal when you need to maintain distance. Spiritblade, Vigorflow, and judicious positioning will allow you to strike targets for over 20 damage per Scratch. Indignance+ gives you a 2-range aura that can do 4-5 auto-damage (so, so, so powerful) and the Crow's Peck and Scratch let you dish out high single-target melee damage. Indignant Crow Mystic: Building characters against type is pretty fun, and this is one way to turn a Mystic into a melee monster. The Wolf Hunter is also a really powerful option, too, if you can get Thornfang+ and just keep refreshing actions and Rogue to keep popping into stealth, but it's probably easier to build a solid baseline Wolf as a Warrior as it isn't as reliant on specific talents to be effective. A well-built Wolf Warrior can kill any of the game's bosses in a single activation. Windwalker and Zealous Leap will help you navigate into the perfect position to pounce and unleash your attacks. You have hard-hitting single target damage and a 3x attack that can pick off little enemies (or just be used to stack more damage on a single target) on top of the swift bite. The only must-pick talent is the one that enhances your Wolf abilities. Wolf Warrior: This is just a really solid melee build, and it's honestly hard to go wrong with it. It's fun just to pop off a few low HP enemies just by navigating into position for your AoE. Indignance is a plus, too, for polishing off low-health enemies. You can solve a Hook Quest or 2 and use this character to carry you through an entire 5-act campaign. Mystic is my ideal target for the Celestial transformation because of the +20 to retirement age. If you don't move, you can fire off your single-target ranged damage for 15+ and strike a target 3x3 square for 12+ apiece. This build has some of the best magic single-target damage and the hands-down best AoE in the game, and it's easily capable of dishing out over 100 damage in a single turn when enemies clump up. Mystic already benefits greatly from stacking bonus damage and potency, but the Celestial abilities are so good that you'll rarely, if ever, need to use your Mystic powers. This is by no means an exhaustive list, just a few of my personal favorites.Ĭelestial Mystic: This is probably the most overpowered build in the game.
